ORIGINALLY POSTED September 14, 1999
REVISED October 12, 1999
(202) 371-6400, ext. 456

Washington, D.C. - The Members of the Presdential Advisory Commission on Holocuast Assets in the United States will meet in room 189 of the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington D.C. on Thursday, October 14, 1999, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGED TIME. The main topic of discussion will be the Commission's recent discoveries about the "Hungarian Gold Train" -- a mysterious example of a failure of the United States to follow its own policy regarding restitution of Holocaust victims' property after World War II. The meeting will be open to the public and media, though the Chairman reserves his right to "close" the meeting at his discretion. (22 USC 1621 note)
